My daughter’s flight last night (Sunday) from Houston to San Diego was cancelled. Spirit offered no hotel or meal vouchers and after rescheduling her to fly first thing in the morning, and her spending the night at the airport, that flight was cancelled, too.
She had to get back to college and work, and the best they offered was a 50% chance that she’d get out in a flight on Tuesday night. She was forced to purchase a one-way ticket in another airline, and the least expensive option was $600, making her budget airline trip cost more than double what she bought her original ticket for.
