On January 04,2019 I book a round trip to Santo Domingo(SDQ) from EWR with Spirit ( Reservation WBS48M). The trip was a family spring break vacation at Sirenis Punta Cana Resort, booked from April 20 to April 28. On Saturday 19, 11:00PM Spirit cancel the flight 1035(Departing 12:40AM on Apr.20). At the airport they inform us (group of 16)that if we want to fly to SDQ the next flight available was MAY 14. To not loose the hotel and kids S. break, we bought another thicket on JUSTFLY.COM; Round trip, EWR to SDQ on Sun April 21(Jet blue Flight 1203 reservation # ******) and SDQ to EWR on Sat April 27, with SPIRIT (Flight 1036 reservation ******). My hotel was originally booked from Apr. 20 to 28; so I call SPIRIT and ask for change the date (SDQ-EWR -YF6Q3D) from 27 to 20 same flight (Sunday 12:40 AM) as the original reservation (******). When arrive at SDQ on Saturday 10:PM,to return home, my ****** was CANCELLED. No one knew the reason ,after a lot of discussions, they agree to call Spirit in the USA , I spoke to a Supervisor name RAY, who could not give a reason for the cancellation and told me that the reservation was cancelled because the original (******) was cancelled and it was refunded to my credit card. Indignantly ?? … me too! They cancel my second INDEPENDENT reservation because another reservation was cancelled. The only choice Ray gave me was buy another tickets(04) or go to another Airline. I didn’t have no choice; I bought 4 tickets (reservation ******),next day 1:15 PM( Flight NK6001). We have a autistic child, we were left in another Country in the middle of the night without any assistance from Spirit , we had to look out for a hotel on or own. Today (Apr. 29), I contact first Justfly.com, they were very courteous ,and spend 45 minutes with Spirit Supervisors and gave me the answer( ****** was cancelled because WBS48M was cancelled EWR to SDQ). Today also a Spirit representative, before to pass to another Supervisor named MIGUEL try to convince me that the reason the book was cancelled was because the flight was cancelled (SDQ to EWR), I prove it wasn’t with EWR Fly Tracker. “Spirit try to cover the sun with a screen to get in the shadow”. They could not cancel a independent reservation(******) because another (******). We are going to seek compensations.

Compensate for the error. I am seek the cost of original trip WBS48M diference for the actual expenses with tickets,+ Hotel ,ground transportation, food and $ 4,000.00 compensation for the aggravation.
