I called Ally Financial Auto Finance the end of May inquired about a deferment for June’s payment and advised that I was told per my contract that I had 30 days from June 9th to make my payment to not be considered late. As this was of importance to me. I’ve never been late on my payments. I responded ok great. I knew right at that moment that I needed to make two payments in the Month of July to get my payments back on track. I immediately contacted Smart Pay to hold from drafting any money from my account in the month of June and to start back in July that my payment needed to be on time to post by 7/9 to meet the 30 days and not be late. Smart Pay advised me that I had a $199 credit with them that they’d use that towards payment to be sent electronically to Ally on 7/5 that would take care of 6/9 payment. I also processed an additional payment on 7/11 through Ally Financial app to cover 7/9 payment. Well I received a bill from Ally with a late fee. I called spoke with a supervisor that tells me per my contract I have 10 days to make my payment but because of the misinformation she’d remove the late fee. I explained to her that I did not want my credit to be targeted for being misinformed. I’m trying to buy a home and late payments will affect my being able to.. She assured me that it would be taken care of. Well I’ve been hit with two late payments on my credit report. Both due to wrongful information. Yesterday I spoke with a supervisor she gave me a case number re: the investigation. This is unacceptable.

Remove the late payments from my credit report.
