Airbnb should ensure that the host is a legal owner of the property or that the host has legal rights and legal consent from landlord to sublet/sublease the property. As a result of Airbnb’s negligence to vet the host, our property was severely damaged because Airbnb renters were illegally renting the property due to our tenant renting our property without legal consent from us.
What would you like the company to do to fix the problem? (optional)
We would like the company to ensure that the tenant should provide a legal document proving that they have consent from the landlord to sublease as an Airbnb rental. This problem has created a lot of stress and financial drain and we would like Airbnb to compensate for this incident.
