Billing practices seem extremely predatory. Cannot cancel unless it is physically in person or mailed by ‘USPS certified’ mail only, but this must be delivered and seen almost a full month before you wish to cancel, otherwise you are charged (ie you must have the written letter delivered by the 25th of the prior month to not be charged on the 17th of the next month). In their contract it says “The annual membership fee is fully earned when received and is non-refundable.” This facility also did not have the member classes with a fitness expert despite advertising it. Terms and conditions were handed hastily and encourage to just sign it by employees.

All in all, I moved suddenly for work, didn’t like the gym to begin with as it clearly only enforced rules on people it wanted to, and I just wanted to cancel my membership. But sending a letter is not enough. It has to be certified and received so far in advanced that it is outside the realm of common sense.
