Spirit Airlines cancelled my flight and caused me to spend too much money to correct their issues due to negligence and then won’t make a fair refund. On August 17th my flight was cancelled at 5:22 am for a flight that I wassupposed to get at 6:20 am, that was delayed to 7:15 am. I was going on acruise later that day at 5:00 pm. It was supposed to arrive in Ft Lauderdale at9:13 am. I was not able to get a new flight out that day and missed my cruise.We were not able to get our money back from the cruise so we had to purchasea new flight and fly out to Puerto Rico and get a room, stay over night to catchthe boat because our deposits were nonrefundable. $288.63 room stay flight$421 extra money that I am not able to get back from Spirit. They just deniedmy claim because it was not for the original flight destination. It was theirnegligence that caused me to miss the cruise and have to travel to the nextcruise port destination to avoid a total lost on my vacation. I am so annoyed withSpirit, they caused me and my friends so much stress and aggravation with ourvacation! It was 6 of us. We would have lost our money on the cruise depositsetc, drink packages, excursions additional purchases for our cruise vacation.They gave me a flight credit and said I can only apply it towards the base fare.Example I attempted to purchase a flight for $213. My voucher was only goodfor $17 on that fare because of the base price. When I purchased my flights mymoney didn’t only go towards the base fare. It went towards the full amount ofthe flight. That’s a rip off!! So they didn’t give me anything. They should not beallowed to ruin my vacation and then not correct this issue. They need to be sued!!

With a $250 credit I had and the voucher was only good for $17 on that fare because of the base price. When I purchased my flights my money didn’t only go towards the base fare. It went towards the full amount of the flight. That’s a rip off!! So they didn’t give me anything. They should not be allowed to ruin my vacation and then not correct this issue. How can you dictate what amount of credit can be used. They need to be sued!!I am looking to receive a full refund by check because I will not be using this airline ever again. American Airlines flight $421.40Booking.com(hotel in Puerto Rico) $288.63Lyft transportation back and forth to Airport on August 17th $32.66 and $36.28 Plus $500 that was issued in airfare credit that can’t be used. $250 per person$1,278.97 refund check only
