Was mislead by advertising and equipment was not what was expected tech told me incorrect information as far as canceling and told me they would install my camera at a later date then proceeded to docu sign my name to all paperwork at later time before I had a chance to read contract.
They left the alarm in test mode my business got broken into lost thousands of dollars in tools equipment and in work for the loss of tools and paying insurance deductibles. I called adt right away the rep and direct supervisor told me they were embarrased and that they would take full responsibility they confirmed with the installer that it was a mistake on their end. When they seen my deductible was higher than expected they switched up roles saying they were not liable I have talked to corporate they all send me back to the branch that’s investigating. Deceptive practices, lousy customer service, ineffective account management, and rude and unprofessional staff.
Moved after having them for two years. Come to find out the contract was for three years, which is only specified very briefly in very little letters. I paid the cancellation fee and let them know not to charge me again. Well another monthly payment came out. I disputed it and my bank made them refund it. Now they’re sending me notices in the mail.
I called ADT to for a pricing consultant. They said they would send a rep to come in person for a no obligation consult but I had to pay a deposit which was refundable. I agreed. When the rep came I inquired about a special they were having. He said I qualified but one the items ( a ring doorbell) was not included. He said I qualified for a $800 worth of free equipment plus a $100 gift card but suggested I get smoke and carbon monoixde alarms; I declined letting him know that if I couldn’t get the ring doorbell and home camera along with the door sensors, I did not want the service. Amounts greater than the authorized monthly monitoring per our contract has been withdrawn from our bank. We have initiated a dispute over the ADT unauthorized amount taken with our bank. We will continue to dispute this amount which is greater than our signed ADT contract specifies Dated August 5th 2019. ADT seems to be avoiding our attempts to resolve this issue.
Wireless system consistently loses signal for hours at a time, rendering the system useless. Two smash-and-grab alarms alerting police to our home when we were home and the alarm was not activated. Three days taken off of work for service calls: one no show, second without proper equipment to repair, third no-show because equipment we waited for was given to prior customer even though the appointment was specifically scheduled after ADT called to tell us they would have it. Now being told I can’t cancel after 7 years of service (NOT including prior addresses totaling closer to 15) because we signed a new contract when our current panel was upgraded – even though the system has never worked p
I had this alarm system contract six years ago, so I hope it’s not too late to sue. I entered the contract with them under the promise (given by the technician) that my cats cannot set off the alarm, because that would defeat the purpose. That turned out to be a lie. My cats could, in fact, set off the alarm. They repositioned the censors or something, which made it pointless, and then I eventually got out of the contract with an early termination fee.
I signed a 2-year contract in California. I then moved to Michigan a year later. ADT told me I could not cancel my service but I could move it. So I moved it to Michigan and I never signed another contract. They installed the service in Michigan when I was not home and made my 80-year-old mother with dementia sign a contract that had my name on it. I never agreed to another contract.
My name is E***** A*****, live at […] WA. My family ordered ADT in May, 2018. We paid $800+ installation fee, monthly auto pay ADT $65 per month. I was promised to have cameras that recording our very small unit C-101, especially in sleeping hours in the night, and I was promised I could check the ADT Recordings within 30 days. However, ADT failed their Home Security duty as I have been attacked with Plague superbug disease needle shoots all over my legs and arms ever since May, 2019.
