The company had a “flying green“ promotion where if your last name was Green, you got to fly free. In the small writing explain that it would come in the form of a reimbursement. I received my reimbursement from the company and they only reimburse me for my departure flight and not for my return. After calling them, first they tried to say that I didn’t follow the dates provided in the small print which I quickly disapproved. Then they try to say it was because I didn’t fly on the same receipt. Obviously they only refunded me the smaller amount of money which was the departure flight. On October 16th Delta Airlines offered me to upgrade my flight for $99 or 9,900 miles per person for my entire trip departing Los Angeles on January 21st going to Punta Cana and returning on the 29th of January 2020. The promotion was offered to me on the Fly Delta app and it specifically said upgrade first class $99 or 9,900 miles per person entire trip. When I call Delta to redeem this upgrade they informed me that the $99 of the 9900 miles was actually only for the portion of the flight from Punta Cana to Atlanta and not per person for the entire trip. I ordered an wheel chair due to injuries. I was picked up and taken off plane by wheelchair person who was pushing me. I asked to go to restroom they said they would wait. When I came out of restroom my bags were placed in wheelchair. I waited at least 10min for them to return. I called an TSA security officer to help me they are an witness. I had tickets booked by Spirit Airlines for October 14 and i wanted to change it for October 09. I was informed by phone that it would cost me $150. An hour later I changed my reservation on line (under "reschedule your trip"). The invoice came for $ 550 (new tickets + $190 penalty fee). I explained to the customer service representative on the phone at the time that when I was first attempting to purchase tickets on September 27, I received an error message during processing that told me my order could not be processed because prices had changed and that I needed to book new tickets. That prompt me to go back to look at what was available only to find prices had jumped. At that point I made no more attempts to purchase. My seats were infested with bedbugs. For the duration of the flight - 10 hours - my kids were bitten. The flight was full so United did not allow us to change seats. I brought a live bugto the United counter to show them when I landed and ask them to disinfect the plane. I had to take my kids to the doctor to control the itching and bleeding that went on for weeks. United offered my $200 for the discomfort. I had spent almost 3k in tickets.
Spirit Airlines cancelled my flight and caused me to spend too much money to correct their issues due to negligence and then won't make a fair refund. On August 17th my flight was cancelled at 5:22 am for a flight that I wassupposed to get at 6:20 am, that was delayed to 7:15 am. I was going on acruise later that day at 5:00 pm. I booked a roundtrip flight to Havana from NY in April (confirmation printed). However by the time I was about to leave Havana, the United rep couldn't find my information on the flight, and as a result I had to purchase the only available ticket, which was first class ticket that costed $1000+ for a one way ticket to NY.
