13 years with bank of America.. my disability was going to be changing I had my account 200 overdrafted..I asked if they would put my account on hold and told them it would be 4 months or so untill I’d be using and able to pay off my negative balance. CSR in recovery dept promised they wouldn’t close my account..they did.. Sept 2018 went to boa paid my debt off..I had a 20k check bank.manager said he’s having a hard time trying to get a new acct opened and to come back 2morrow..I did that every other day for 2 weeks..then you be told they couldn’t..dome reason I was blacklisted the other banks called it and I’d have to wait 30 days to open a new acct bank..
Someone walked into two different BofA branches in the same town and took out of my account $4000 over the counter from one branch and $2400 out of an inside the bank ATM at another branch. Bank of America says because I didn’t notice it for just over 6 months, they are liable. I cannot find any literature that they have that has this 6 month rule written out. And why is 6 months a cut off date? They are responsible for my money all the time. The idea of the bank is so people can’t get your money. That is the quintessential foundation of how a bank works.
Did not receive correct amount at an atm
Las Vegas NV BofA held my safety deposit box.I closed it out after I moved to Texas and June 2019 requested BofA send the contents to me.UPS Showed 4 boxes but only delivered 2. The Bank stated on the phone it was only 3. The additional boxes are missing and I want a full investigation – the contents missing are approximately worth $50K. BofA did not alllow me to insure the contents and they never provided documentation of the contents when they drilled the box and inventoried and then shipped. This is Elder Abuse as I am 82 years old and BOA has done nothing to resolve the missing boxes and items.
They put holds on deposits with arbitrary dates on when funds will be released. One month it’s 3 days another it’s 5 days. The checks are from the same sources and exact same amounts and they always clear. I’ve been banking with BofA for over a year. It seems they arbitrarily change these dates in order to rack up fees. For example they will state that the check will post on a specific date so other charges are written against the account based on that date. Then they change the hour from the morning to the evening and then return several payments that were already posted to the account charging $35 for each one. Every single month they do this costing me hundreds of dollars. This is patheti
Boa took double payments out of my account on 8/11/19. I’ve made six phone calls to try to get my funds back with no results. They also put charge on my account that I did not authorize or know about.
Bank of America cashed 2 money orders for a total of $1450 made out to my company. There were no alterations, account # or signature on the money orders.I have copies from both the bank and the money order company.
Bank of America, told me I wasn’t liable for unauthorized charges and for fraud. However, they had another contact number listed for me that didn’t belong to me which they were contacting about my account. Several credit cards were mailed out and issued with my name not by me, I never even applied for a Bank of America credit card. However, I was held liable after I received one card and called to complain. They closed both my bank account and the credit card account I never applied for.
In January 2018, my mortgage account was charged $366.00 for “Litigation Fees.”In March 2018, I was again charged $473.00 for “Litigation Fees.”I believe (but I am not certain due to conflicting information I received from BOA) that these relate to a conversion from a condo to a townhome initiated by my HOA.Other than these amounts showing on my mortgage statement, I was never notified of these charges.
