I have service with COMCAST and they wrongly reported me to the credit bureau when my previous balance was suppose to be transferred to my new address after transferring service. I’ve worked hard to repair my credit and now this! I’ve been a long standing custom with no issues paying my bill and they dropped the ball by misidentifying my account as a closed account rather than a transfer and adding the balance to the new bill.
A man was knocking on all the doors in my Complex which is a disabled and low income tenant complex. When he came to my door I asked for him to check in lowering my bill. After about one half hour he had me set up for something that was supposed to be lower then wha I was paying. Well every single thing out of his mouth was lies. From free set up to the price and a remote you talk into. All lies. One year later my bill wasn’t paid and showed up as not paid and that I owed almost 3X the normal amount. Comcast has put a cap on my service and is claiming I am using over a terra byte of data a month. I see the charts and it’s a steady increase every month that they are claiming. I’m a software engineer and know my internet usage and have access locked down. I know how much I use and how frequent. My habits haven’t changed yet they claim my increase month over month is an increase of 100+ gigs each month, this is no where near a normal increase or change when no activity of usage patterns have changed and to see it consistently month over month. I was contacted by an third party agent named Sean he says he works for an company called Telesales. He offered me a pkg that includes 70 cable channels. I asked if the channels included VH1 and OWN. He said yes that I can choose whichever channels I wanted that I’d just have to download the stream app. He said my bill would be only $50 a month if I signed up for auto pay and equal billing through my online account. Since the day I had Comcast install my high speed internet, May 9th 2012, my WIFI has been terrible. I've had weak spotty signal strength that dropped my phone call, Streaming services and booted me off the internet. Over the years when I called the sales floor they call customer service. I was told to reset my equipment, they'd send a tech, and/or they'd tell me I needed to purchase higher speed. Which resulted in them getting more of my hard earned money. I was billed as a new customer for TV and Internet service upon the date of picking up the equipment. My move in date was in August 2019 and I told the sales person the date of the service would be August. He assured me I could pick up the equipment in advance of the move because I would be billed upon activation. When I went to activate the service in August, I was not able to because I had an unpaid balance. After lots of discussion with Customer Service I was told they would credit the July 2019 bill. I activated August 7 2019. Two weeks later my service was terminated for non-payment. I was then told they could credit the $98 base but could not refund the taxes which was over $24. I w

Our case is so long and ridiculous but basically we had great service for a year in our home. Comcast came and did work on a neighbors home one year ago and our service declined horribly. Over time it got worse and worse. I spent hours, and I mean hours, on the phone with Comcast, chatting with Comcast, Troubleshooting with Comcast, techs came late, on wrong days, and made things worse. I'm paying for gigabits internet speed, getting 1/4 to 1/2 broad band. Comcast uses a "little buddy" (rassberry pi ) to test broad band. They brought 3 of there own computers to test speed, they got same results as my PC and rassberry pi 4.
