Hertz Rented me a car with illegal car registration tags. The police profiled me, followed me around, then pulled me over for expired tags. The police threatened to take me to jail for a misdemeanor offense of putting current tags on an expired registered vehicle. Since it was a rental, the policeman, with backup starring my children down in the backseat, walked to remove the tags from the vehicle, after learning I was driving on a road trip. I got out of the car to stop him. He said if he can’t take the tags he is towing the car. Taking the tags off of a car didn’t seem appropriate. We were on our way to LA then Arizona for a 5 day road trip with expired tags didn’t seem safe nor did drivin
Someone hit the rental and we followed the protocol of reporting the accident and contacting hertz so they could get the vehicle. Multiple calls were made starting Aug19th to properly take care of the situation. We were constantly threatened saying to bringthe vehicle back or charges of theft would be filed. So I would call hertz again , very frustrated and explain that we were told the vehicle would be picked up from the tow yard weeks ago. Long story short this has gone on for a month and they finally went and got the vehicle and In the end sent a bill for $2,000 because they said we never notified them and they had no clue where the rental was. So I have pulled my call logs and have proof
Hi, I return the car one week late and Herz charge $1,062.02 extra out of my credit card.
There are several issues involved. The most obvious is that with a change of policies that the company enabled in order to protect its interests from people who rented cars and did not pay tolls, it had certain unexpected effects for people who used it for Lyft rentals which was -- I was unable to add the car to my toll roads account or pay the toll fees. It said fleet vehicle -- you CANNOT add this vehicle. The automated charges on my credit card were not possible anymore. AND I could not pay immediately -- I had to WAIT a few days for the charges to appear, REMEMBER WHEN the toll happened, at WHAT TIME, on WHAT ROAD -- it was a memory test from hell. AND when I called they said IT EXPIRED.
Hertz was taking money out of my checking account even before I returned the rental. The amount I owed them, 2100, was paid in full. I know this because I called my bank that day and they verified my payment. On July 15th, Hertz billed me again for 2100 dollars and took that money from my account. I called them today and they verified they had double billed me. They said they can send me a check for this discrepancy in 3-5 business days. In the meantime. I have a negative checking account balance which I’m paying fees for. I have bills to be paid through automated checking which won’t be paid. And I will accrue these late payment fees because of Hertz. In addition , I was put on hold for ove
I rented the car through Hotwire which listed a daily rate. When I actually got the bill I was charged fro an entire week even though I used the car for two days. I did not agree to a weekly rate and it was not on my contract with Hotwire for the service.
I rented a car and it died one morning when I had a critical doctor's appointment to get to. I called Hertz and first they blamed me, for leaving the lights on or something, then they said that they had no responsibility to me, that I'd have to get it towed at my own expense. After arguing with them for a while, they finally conceded, towed my car, and I had to go to Hertz to get a replacement rental.
June 13th 2019 I rented a car from Lyft's rental express... but not really feeling the program I gave the car back on June 17 (4 days later). I was told I was told (also in the agreement) you'll get your deposit IN FULL if you bring the car back in the same condition. I paid ABOUT $258 on the deposit but only received $120 back. I sent sent an email to Lyft for a wk!!! Saying this
I have been renting cars to drive for Lyft for over two years now, through Lyft's Rental Rewards program at a local Pep Boys store. I've had various issues with the cars which have all been resolved in a timely manner, ie. Brakes, tires, windshield wipers, etc
After paying $574 including $200 deposit fee. I was also charged additional $114. But Let me start from the beginning. I mistakenly assumed that my rental was suppose to be returned on 05-21-19 but I found out from a hertz manager that if I do not return the rental on 05-20-19, $12 late fee will be taken out of my $200 deposit. But less then 24 hours I was charged $114, at first I thought it was normal until hertz tried taking additional $230 the day after. Their return policy states
