I cancelled my LA Fitness membership today, Aug 29. I have two fees that I believe should be refunded, but LA Fitness maintains that these fees are non-refundable.
the contract i signed up for was for 5 months personal training. they continued to bill me for over a year.
Charged me Initiation Fee plus first and last month fees on the day I signed contract (25.00+29.99+29.99). Then two months after, they charged me Annual fee of $49.00 which I wasn’t aware of.
Did not receive all of my sessions them claiming I cancelled every time, I never schedule as often as they claim, and did not cancel every single time. The plan is over and they have still been changing me
The sales person told me to enroll my 11 years old son for personal training, and told me that if my son does not like it, anyone in our family can use the rest of sessions, and it is our money forever.
On 4/24/2019 Wednesday, I went to LA Fitness started a gym membership. Under the recommendation from the staff, they talked me into a tryout of a free personal training session (PTS). I just want to sign up for a simple training session, I didn’t even wanted a session that day, but they insist I have the free session at that time, so they can pull the high pressure sale. I personally never into physical development, I never had any paid membership of any gym. When I sign up for the member, during the consulting session at the beginning in the Alina’s office, I mentioned and emphasized multiple times that I am not interested train myself into muscle guy or running marathon, I am only here to
Upon signing up for La Fitness’s personal training as well as a membership with the gym itself I was told that I would be paying for a year of PT for a one time payment of $400. I was never shown the contract with which I was signing, only the electronic pad to sign it AS the associate was “reading” off the contract to me. I was then billed $400 every single month and accrued +56 sessions in my account. They had tried to trick me into downgrading said account to only paying $200 a month, despite the fact I already have these sessions. Upon speaking with Customer Service they stated that if I were to cancel the payments I would then lose those 56 sessions, the ones I already paid for and woul
I’ve cancelled two years ago and they continued to bill me.
On 4/24/2019 Wednesday, I went to LA Fitness started a gym membership. Under the recommendation from the Alina and couple other staffs, they gave me a free personal training session (PTS). And talked me to sign up for their training program. All I wanted is a short trail, few training session her and there. I personally never into physical development, I never had any paid membership of any gym. After free personal training session, at Alina’s office, I mentioned and emphasized multiple times that I am not interested train myself into muscle guy or running marathon, I am only here to improve my health and enhance my immune system.
I came to LA Fitness to sign up for my monthly membership. Christian the guy who showed me around asked if I want to try Personal Training, as it was my first time at the gym I said yes, that way I can learn what am I suppose to do. Without explaining anything he sign me up for this program I found out afterwards. Didn’t say it’s a contract or if I want to quit I’d have to pay a lot of money. Plus my English is not great, I think he took advantage of it too!
