One of the deals was to get unlimited WiFi for $24.99 a months , so I called the company and I ask the guy if I get the deal how much will I be paying . He said $38.99 a month after taxes . Then i asked him if I added a box to watch tv how much will it be . He said that for 50 channels and WiFi I will be paying $88.00 dollars a month . I said that’s not to convenient because I only watch sports , I specifically told him the sports channels that I wanted . On August 7th, 2009 - our next to next door neighbor's house got struck by lightning, and at the same time mine and my next door neighbor's house lost all 3 (Cable/Internet/Phone) services. We thought it may be an outage in the neighborhood caused by the storm, and will be restored in few hours. We went out to attend some event and when returned home late night, the services were still out so I called the support number who after going through initial troubleshooting advised me to schedule an appointment for a tech to come out and look at it. I have been charged two service fees I should not have been charged for internet service issues which continue to be unresolved. I have not had reliable internet for more than two hours at a time since June of 2019. It is now August 2019. Not only is Optimum still charging me full price for internet but they have added two service fees, $80 each, for technician visits which claim the issue has been "on my end" despite making no fixes.

There are tap/“500” wires that cut directly across my private rooftop, at shoulder height. Four firemen from the fire department have visited my home and have told me not to use the space until optimum moves the wires because it is a safety hazard. I have taken photos and sent to optimum on Twitter. I have called at least two dozen times. Each time they agree to make an appointment with me, they send a technician instead of a construction team. Each time the technician confirms that it is optimum’s fault and responsibility and they supposedly send a request for supervisor or construction team to respond, however, optimum still continues to send technicians or not respond at all.
