My seats were infested with bedbugs. For the duration of the flight – 10 hours – my kids were bitten. The flight was full so United did not allow us to change seats. I brought a live bugto the United counter to show them when I landed and ask them to disinfect the plane. I had to take my kids to the doctor to control the itching and bleeding that went on for weeks. United offered my $200 for the discomfort. I had spent almost 3k in tickets.
I booked a roundtrip flight to Havana from NY in April (confirmation printed). However by the time I was about to leave Havana, the United rep couldn’t find my information on the flight, and as a result I had to purchase the only available ticket, which was first class ticket that costed $1000+ for a one way ticket to NY.
United Airlines lost my check in bag and when the found it after 24 hours they shipped it to my address and I found that my Go Pro camera was missing, laptop screen was cracked and my canon camera screen cracked and doesn’t lucked. When I called United Airlines the spend 2 hours of apology and making a claim however I don’t think they’re willing recompense me of what I lost and that’s more than 3000$.
I booked flights for my 2 sons from Key West FL to Daytona Beach FL on June 22, 2019 as well as flights from Daytona Beach FL to Key West FL on June 29. Both flights were cancelled. Replacement travel was provided for the flights on June 22. A refund was promised for the flights on June 29. No refund was ever processed.
1) I booked a round-trip flight *directly through United.com* from LAS-IDA Friday August 16, returning IDA-LAS Sunday August 18. I paid $328 for it. I have the confirmation email documented.
On Monday, August 5 I took flight 779 from Denver to Cleveland. I became physically ill during takeoff on the flight. When I grabbed my motion sickness bag and began puking into it, it was torn at the bottom. The vomit flowed out of the bag and all over me, as well as onto my seat and floor area. Everyone around me was scrambling looking for their motion sickness bags, and not a single person around me had one in their seat. So I was forced to sit there and vomit on myself over and over again until it was safe for the flight attendant to bring me another bag and something to clean up with. It was horrifying, disgusting, a safety issue, and humiliating.
On Sunday a flight attendant spilled an entire pitcher of hot tea on me. It ruined my iPad, damaged my clothing, and burnt my arm. The flight attendant told me that the airline would compensate me for my damages. She came around with a phone and told me she was not authorized to give me anything more than $250 and said she would leave a note that the compensation was “NOT adequate” for the damages.
I booked united for travelling from Newark to India in August 2019 on June 20. I paid approx $2800 for tickets of me my wife and my 7 months old daughter, which is a premium over other market participants. I paid higher since it is a direct flight and we are travelling first time with our infant daughter, we wanted to avoid the hassle of change. I even spent almost an hour on the call talking to customer care rep to secure a bassinet for my daughter. United with no communication cancelled the tickets after a week or so. I was not informed by text or email, when I read that in the news that they have decided to cancel that flight. I called in customer care after reading the news and they conf
They didn’t give me the option of not checking my bag. My bag was a backpack the size of a personal item and the made me check it. Then it managed to get lost/stolen. I was told it was most likely stolen after it got off the plane and before the carousel aka stolen by the airport employees. I’ve called the airline and they did not assist me what so ever, only thing I got them to help with was “changing my address” and giving more descriptions of my bag for my account and these changes were never changed in my account. They also had me applying for a voucher to go on a different flight then after I arranged my ride from the airport and was getting a new flight they changed their mind. I’ tryi
United required me to check my cabin baggage and as a result my computer was smashed inside the bag.
