My elderly parents, eight-eight and eighty, tried to cancel their account but were told that they had to pay off the$1,000 loan that they took out with Citizens Bank for the equipment. My father said he was misled. He said he never would have used their service if he had known he was buying the equipment. My dad said he never received any paperwork for anything, not from Vivint or the Citizens Bank.
Sales rep was pushy and told us there would be a $600.00 buyout since we were with ADT. It did not happen and the sales rep told us that he could make our monthly payments cheaper than AD T. We were paying around $45.00 a month with ADT and now we are paying close to $100.00 a month with Vivint. We were told that our payment would be around $29.00 a month total. Didn’t happen.
My system has repeatedly gone offline and also the alarm has gone off 3 times without cause (at night)and had to take unit off and disconnect battery and AC in order to stop alrm
So I had Vivint from may 2016 to August 2019.I sold my house to another buyer, he switched it over in his name. According to vivint though I didn’t give verbal authorization to have it switched from me to the new owner. But I had called several times to state I am moving and the new owner is interested in switching over. They wont let me cancel now due to I didnt give them authority. Which would seem like a lack of common sense. And now I either have to have it in my new house or pay $80 until 2022 which I didnt know my contract was that long…
I did not receive services as agreed by Vivint home security. There equipment and monitoring was inferior and never worked properly. The customer loyalty team from Vivint sent me two emails that they would refund my contract, but have yet to do so.
After getting Vivint in my home I was forced to move to Florida. the rep initial told me that if I moved the service would be moved at no cost to me, this wasn’t true turns out it is a 120.00 charge. Then when I try to cancel Vivint refused to take the equipment back stating it was to old and I was forced to pay 600 before ever being able to put in a cancellation request. Upon paying the 600+ dollars the rep told me I wouldn’t have to pay anything else after the 600 + charge. Turns out it takes 30 days to cancel an account and they are trying to charge me an other 55 dollars when I haven’t even been able yo use the service for 2 years because I wasn’t able to get the service moved to Florida
Service dies frequently, customer service sucks, they claim i have a 6 yr contract and i dont.have one .there bank for the equipment which i wasnt aware of turned me in for collections because they called me from a spam number and wanted my name dob and ss number without identifying
I purchased a system for a little over $5000. Since I have had the system in 2017 the cameras keep shutting on and off. I have called in Waymore than 20 times and gone through all their troubleshooting. I have had text come out more than a dozen times and they say that the issue was solved but the cameras keep going on and off even after the issue is ““ solved. The last time I had a tech out here was this last weekend. It was the same guy that installed my system in the beginning. And he told me that he installed the cameras wrong by hooking all their power wires together and hooking it into my plug-in for my garage door opener. He disconnected all the wires and individually plugged two in m
It was Saturday the 14th when the sales rep came by. I currently was under contract with Xfinity. He told me he had a buyout to get me out of my contract and started showing me all this cool equipment they had to offer. He told me cutting my security services would bring my bill down to 150 and then pay Vivint for the security portion. Cool, I love new devices for the same price..WRONG. Vivints prices were nothing close to what he told me. He also told me the buyout portion was easy. They would just give me the 230 for a picture. That was wrong. Even during the setup process, he gave himself a 5 star review, and I’m like, isn’t that my job to fill in…well, its going good, isn’t it…was hi
On July 31st 2019 a representative (Eric Moreno) of Vivint..He told me that it would only cost me $60 a month including the equipment for 50 months. A month later I received a text from citizen bank stating I owed the full amount of the equipment system of $2400.U never knew of a bank or a loan. The cameras are $399.99 each. I’ve spoken with supervisors and no one calls back. I was told they were going to fix the problem but no one is returning my calls. Running the clock out. This is so wrong. Lies and omittion. Also the person that put the system in put a hold in the wall where the panel is.
